The way in which Conversational Hypnosis Utilizes the Potency of NLP

March 15, 2011 in Personal Development

There cannot be too many people who haven’t heard mention of NLP or neuro-linguistic programming. Conversational hypnosis takes the lessons of NLP’s way of using language and enables people to adopt the correct type and also the tone of language that draws a person to them and develops in the user an air of charisma.

The Milton Erickson style of conversational hypnosis teaches you to use self-talk to develop appropriate actions and mental attitudes, involving those things that will draw other people to one using these techniques. Milton Ercikson is a well known hypnotist and inside his useable guide to covert and conversational hypnosis he adopts a varied means to getting the information to become embedded in the mind of the individual.

The course uses the linguistic tools of NLP merely couple of moves further on to the point where you are able to establish the trust of another person and be able to establish an understanding that means you are able to reach the subconscious of another. The great thing about what is known as the Milton method is the method is constructed in such a form that it is accessible to everyone, in comparison to some programmes that can be highly academic in tone and difficult to understand. You will hear CD recorded demonstrations on the use of the linguistic forms and this enables you to use those same methods yourself.. The method of covert and conversational hypnosis is actually a conversational mode of learning.

The Benefits of Meditation

Meditation Benefits 150x150 The Benefits of MeditationThere is a lot of mystery around meditation and the benefits of meditation. I would like to investigate whether these benefits are actually true.

Since the 1970′s a good deal of research and studies on how meditation can effect the behavior and physiology of humans. The research has shown that the benefits of meditation can be found on many levels; on the body, emotions, mental functions and relationships. The benefits of meditation are decreases in the amount of stress hormone found in the body, lowering of blood pressure, reversing the age process, cholesterol decreases, increased productivity and creativity, better health and even more positive health habits.

Why Success Should Never Be Your Target

March 9, 2011 in Personal Development

“Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.” Albert Schweitzer (Theologian, Physician, Philosopher, and Musician)

When you think about success what does it bring to mind? For many it will be material things like the big house, the flash sports car, or the luxurious yacht sitting in the marina. You may regard the lifestyles of the rich and famous – dining at the best restaurants, holidaying in exotic locations, and attending all manner of society events – as the sure signs of success.

But are they the true indicators?

Certainly all these things are the results of having the money to afford them and that may have come as a result of some sort of success or achievement. But the reality is that the people enjoying them will usually have got them in one of two ways. Either they were born into rich families and know no different, or they have made their money in some enterprise. If it’s the latter then it is highly unlikely they would have achieved those results without doing something they love.

A Positive Affirmation – How Do You Respond When Someone Asks How Are You

March 8, 2011 in Affirmations

positive affirmation 150x150 A Positive Affirmation How Do You Respond When Someone Asks How Are You

Positive Affirmation

How do you respond when people ask you “how are you?” Most people would say “fine” or “ok”. You might even find a few people that would say “terrible” or “It’s MONDAY!” When someone asks this question we expect a standard response. When someone says they are “great” or “terrific” we might look at them odd and wonder what is wrong with them. When I was a young boy my Dad told me that when someone asks that question you are supposed to give the standard response. He said “people don’t really care how you are, its just something that we say”.

The Pledge, Your Master Plan For An Abundant Life

March 7, 2011 in Personal Development

Copyright © 2011 Scott F Paradis

“If I didn’t change myself, my life wouldn’t change – not then or ever.” was Michael Masterson’s (writing under a pen name) defining realization offered in the opening of “The Pledge, Your Master Plan for an Abundant Life”. Masterson was bright and capable, but up until that moment committed to mediocrity. In an instant he realized that if he wanted to live a full and fulfilling life – he had to change.

In “The Pledge” Masterson emphasizes “taking action” as the seminal means to achieving success. In example after example he illustrates how “most people” never realize their full potential, nor achieve their most cherished dreams because they are immobilized by fear or ignorance, or are willing to live with an uneasy satisfaction for the status quo. People fail because they aren’t willing to imagine, plan and take deliberate action.
